“Above all, students want to be happy….”

The Education Department (SED) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched a year ago a landmark study in Bogotá to determine what educational quality, not only from the perspective of human development, but in the context of the reality of the city.

TIME obtained preliminary results of this study in which 643 students from public and private schools were surveyed; 7,724 teachers, 206 counselors and further meetings with parents and experts were made.
